My Stance on Generative AI 

***GENERATIVE AI STATEMENT***

*I, Syn Daye, do NOT use or condone the use of generative AI. No generative AI is used in my brainstorming, writing, editing, formatting, or creative ventures. I hire REAL editors, proofreaders, formatters, artists, and designers for all aspects of my publishing process, as well as merchandise creation that is designed specifically for my works. I also make it very clear to my street team and any readers who sign up for reveals and reading teams that I do not allow the use of generative AI when reviewing and promoting my books. You can find all vetted professionals I hire and pay with my own funds on the copyright pages of my books, in the reveal posts for covers and artwork, and as a sticker on the back of items such as my art prints. I am very clear about who I work with, and I make it easy to find them on social media and online so that anyone can see for themselves who they are, what their qualifications include, and who they've worked with outside of me. Anything I don't hire out for, I do myself, investing time, money, education, experience, and effort into my own career.*

My career is precious to me, and it's something I aim to make my full-time career someday. My stance regarding generative AI remains consistent throughout every aspect of my career and process. You will find it stated on the About Me page of my website, in my social media bios, on my Instagram banner, in my application forms, and even in my contracts.

If there is EVER a point where you possibly see my name associated with generative AI, please let me know. I am aware it can be hard to spot, and I will always acknowledge the possibility of me missing something. I'm protective of myself and my career, and if anyone were to bring something like this to my attention about someone I've worked with, I'd most certainly want to know so that I can reach out to them and make it clear about my stance so that I can have more information about how this has happened, what to tell my community, and how I'd like to proceed in the future.

I'm very open about my entire publishing process and author business. I keep every contract and email thread saved in my Google Drive. I also screenshot things to keep records of that I email myself. All books are copyrighted before they are sent off to anyone.

If anyone wants to ever know about my process, I'm happy to show you. 

If there's one thing you will always find true, it's that I am authentic and honest to a fault. And that will __never__ change.
